Every year, thousands of newcomers arrive in “Friendly Manitoba,” attracted by the Province’s strong economy, affordable cost of living and high quality of life. The overwhelming majority of newcomers to Manitoba are highly skilled, job-ready individuals, who are eager to contribute their skills and talent to the vibrancy and growth of our economy. Alongside other Canadians, they join in celebrating and extending Canada’s rich heritage and legacy of diversity, tolerance, and opportunity.

On June 28, 2013, Manitoba Start hosted a celebratory Canada Day event, attended by over 150 newcomers. Sponsorship was graciously provided by Scotiabank.
